Ariens Snowblowers
Power You Can Rely On

Ariens snowblowers go a long way. Ariens has been in the outdoor power equipment industry since back in 1933 when it first started out in Brillion, Wisconsin.

The company produces top-grade consumer and commercial equipment marketed under various top brands such as the Sno-Thro for snow throwers, Gravely for commercial lawn equipment, and National lawn mowers. They also manufacture specialty products such as lawn mowers for golf courses.

The company is also continuously growing and has acquired the EverRide and the Great Dane power equipment brands to further strengthen their collection of products. Ariens is also an affiliate of Stens Corporation and the Australian Bynorm Group, which produces replacement parts.

Ariens snowblowers have been consistently providing great and reliable performance for quite some time.

The Ariens snow lineup begins with the Pro-Track series, the Professional series, the Deluxe Track series, the Deluxe series, and the Deluxe Platinum series.

Then there’s Compact series with smaller, more lightweight snow blowers designed for lighter use. Finally, there’s the Brush snowblowers featuring large brushes that can easily brush heavy snow away.

Ariens Best Choices

1. Ariens Consumer ST24E – Your Basic Snow Blower

The Ariens ST24E is the 24-incher of the Deluxe Ariens snowblowers. This is the basic snowblower package with innovative features that begin with the steel THF chute with smooth and easy chute rotation to throw snow far and where you want it.

The ST24E also has powerful 14” steel serrated augers for extra strength even when used to break hardened ice. It also comes with specialized Directional Snow Tread tires for good traction and maneuverability, supported by a 249cc 1150 Briggs and Stratton engine.

The Ariens ST24E works with a special Pin Lock Axle system and the whole package comes in an all steel construction. And to top it all off, your extreme snow conditions just got easier to deal with thanks to the heavy duty aluminum XS Gear Case of the snow blower, which adds to its durability so you can keep your trusty snow companion for a long time.

2. Ariens Prosumer ST27LE – One Step Ahead

Following after the quality of the Deluxe 24, this 27-incher can take care of wider paths in less time. The strength, however, is all there, starting with the 249cc 1150 Briggs and Stratton engine and the Directional Snow Tread tires to lessen your effort in steering and maneuvering the machine.

It also has 14” steel serrated augers and can be taken out even in heavy snow conditions with its heavy duty XS Gear Case. Once you’ve hauled up snow, you can throw it high and far with the special steel THF chute.

The Deluxe 27, however, uses a Remote Locking Axle system and comes with standard halogen headlights, widening your range of use to include night-time snow work. The additional safety and functionality features make this an ideal option for homeowners with more challenging snow conditions.

3. Ariens Prosumer Winter Power Brush – Ready for Anything

The Ariens 28-inch Winter Power Brush is part of Ariens’ unique Sno-Brush series, which includes snowblowers equipped with huge brushes. It is considered one of the Prosumer Ariens snow blowers because it can be used by consumers with heavy needs and can still take on the heavier professional jobs, thanks to its huge brush head. As the brush head sweeps up snow almost effortlessly, the aggressive tires give you good traction.

This, along with the 20-degree pivot ability of the machine, lessens the effort you need to exert in clearing out even the heaviest of snow. The huge brush also lessens the pressure and strain received by the machine itself, thus making it less susceptible to wear and tear. Powered by a 205cc 900 Briggs and Stratton engine and packed into an all-steel constructed body, it is undoubtedly one of the most powerful Ariens snow blowers.

Ariens Pro-Track Snowblowers

An Ariens snow blower is available in many forms. The company offers Pro-Track, professional, deluxe-track, deluxe, compact, single-stage, and Power Brush snowblowers. The Pro-Track series is made up of powerful machines that are built to handle the deepest snow coverage.

Most of the products in this series, such as the 9526 DLET, 11528 DLET, and the 1332 DLET, feature reliable HP engines, directional Snow Trac, and trusty traction control.

The ariens professional tracks Sno-Thro models have clearing paths of up to 32 inches, which is one of the highest in this price and product range. You can choose from models with 9.5 horsepower, 11.5 horsepower, or 13 horsepower, depending on your needs.

Other features include durable cast-iron gear case, dual handle interlock systems, heated handwarmers, and a special Disc-O-Matic drive system.

Ariens Professional Sno-Thro Series

The ariens professional snow blower series include Ariens snowblowers such as the 1336 DLE which offers up to 35 inches clearing paths, serrated augers, 14-inch impellers with high speeds, and a THF chute made by steel.

The product is known for its automatic traction control, which is one of the strongest points of Ariens snowblowers. This product can handle snow drifts of any height and depth.

Ariens Deluxe Track Series

The Deluxe Track series, on the other hand, feature three machines, such as the 924 LET, 927 LET, and the 1130 LET, which are very easy to use.

The machines feature solid locked axles, steel THF chutes, dual-handle interlock systems, 14-inch impellers, 32-inch clearing paths, XS Gear Case for extra power, remote deflector control for easy manageability, and halogen headlights. And as usual, the machines offer great traction.

Ariens Compact Snowblowers

The Compact series include some of the bestselling Ariens snowblowers, especially in the consumer or residential market. These small-sized machines are the perfect partners for home users who still require heavy-duty snow clearing machines.

Despite their small sizes, the machines are highly effective. But thanks to the compact sizes, they are easy to maneuver and easy to store. Some of the products in this series are 520 EC, 520 E, and ariens 624E, which has 5-6 HP engines, fold-down handlebars for easy storage, wet sump gear drives, and aluminum gear cases.

The two latter products are also powered by the Disc-o-Matic drive systems for a powerful drive even through thick snow, throwing the snow out of the way with a clearing path of 20 to 24 inches.

Ariens Single-Stage Snowblowers

If you are specifically out for a ariens single stage snowblower, check out Ariens 522ec and ariens 722ec, both of which have 2-cycle engines with 5 and 7 HP, respectively.

The series is known for its models’ large fuel tank capacity, adjustable handlebars, Dura Clean augers, and the impressive-looking polymer blower housings. These single-stage Ariens snowblowers are also some of the easiest to use products around and they can also clear out snow pretty fast.

Ariens Winner: Power Brush Series

Ariens’ best series, however, is the Power Brush series, which is made up of snow machines with special, innovative Power Brushes that effectively clears away snow fast and easy. These flexible machines can even disperse leaves!

Their three ariens power brush models, the 528 SB, 5528 SB, and the 936 PB, feature longer facetted hoods, pin lock axle systems, halogen headlights, and special directional snow treat tires designed to tackle even the most challenging snow coverage.

The Difference from Ariens

Ariens snowblowers are excellent choices if you are looking for highly capable machines at mid-range prices. Their top features lie in the power of their engines, with variable horsepower depending on your needs, their innovative Disc-O-Matic drive system, six forward and 2 reverse speeds, and solid snowblower construction that are built to withstand aggressive snowfall. Ariens snowblowers get an A in durability, design, and usage.

Pros: Impressive designs, adjustable/fold-down handlebars, Disc-O-Matic drive systems, durable gear cases, interlock systems, ease of use and storage.
Cons: Some assembly and construction issues that affect usage convenience

The Verdict

When it comes to quality, Ariens snowblowers are definitely the top choices in snowblowers. Price is not an issue since Ariens products are priced at mid-level. There are some more powerful machines than Ariens’ offers, but their prices could soar. Thus, an Ariens snow blower offers good value for your money.
