Storm 5024

by Trvthseeker
(Minneapolis MN USA)

Bought December 2007 Now December 2009. Always has been finicky to start. Emptied fuel, changed oil last spring. This winter, added new fuel, wouldn't start. Pulled plug, put in starter fluid, replaced plug, sputtered several times, then died, showing spark is ok.

No sediment in carburetor bowl. Owner's manual is EXTREMELY POOR (No disassembly diagrams of engine area). No known comprehensive service manual or carburetor drawings available. Cannot get to carburetor air intake to put in carburetor cleaner. Excessive guarding over engine area, not designed to be easily removeable. All in all, a poor, unreliable design causing owner much trouble.
